The calendars were printed on antique presses by members of the Peoria Letterpress Print Club at the Prairie Center for the Arts in Peoria, IL. Letterpress broadside poster designed and printed by Robert Rowe, Gold Quoin Press, 2012; Text: flash fiction by Katey Schultz, takes the point of view of a war-weary woman living in a shattered city seen from under the burqa. it is a moving glimpses into humanity in the time of war. In a walking dream, she imagines a tree springing from her garden bearing a deadly kind of fruit. With the Burqa is printed on German-made Zerkall Nideggen paper using a low-relief collagraph plate and photopolymer on a Vandercook Universal one press. Size: 12×18 inches.
